Surrounding Areas

CONWAY BEACH

Between Proserpine and Airlie Beach you will find a turn off to Conway Beach . This is a lovely place to visit ideal for long strolls along the beach. Conway Beach has a caravan park, public toilets and shaded picnic areas.

A short drive away is Wilson Beach, an even quieter haven. These areas provide magnificent views of the Proserpine River and the ocean. Fishing is very popular in this area.

DINGO BEACH

Travelling North from Airlie Beach you will find Dingo Beach, another laid back beachside haven that is rapidly becoming a sought after area. This area is a beachcomber's delight, stroll along several kilometres of long sandy beaches, picnic under shady trees. Enjoy talking to the great local characters at the village store and bar, or visit the dugong sanctuary.

The more adventurous might like to launch their dinghies and explore the secluded bays of Gloucester Island . East Side Bay has a lagoon that abounds with crabs and fish.

MIDGE POINT

Heading south of Airlie Beach and Proserpine lies the charming Midge Point area. Midge Point is an ideal place to bushwalk, go fishing and crabbing and generally relax in a peaceful and tranquil area by the beach. It is home to various accommodation houses such as a caravan park set in 68 hectares of semi tropical rainforest.

Situated a little further north of Midge Point is Laguna Quays which boasts one of the best golf courses and a host of other activities.
